Union City Litlle League

T-Ball

T-Ball is a wonderful way to introduce your child to baseball. This is a non-competitive division and the goal is to introduce your child to the game and teach them the basic rules. Your child will be assigned to a team led by a Team Manager and ideally 2 coaches. We welcome any extra coaching help you can offer to help us meet the goal of 2 coaches per team (it’s a great way to spend time with your child).

Your child will learn the fundamentals of baseball including:

  • Proper throwing technique
  • Batting (Batting is done off a “tee”)
  • Being out on the field with other players
  • Playing safely

In addition, your child will also learn sportsmanship and team spirit while being part of a larger team. Our coaches also remind the children to have fun playing baseball.

The photos on this page are from actual games played by UCALL T-Ball teams.

All players get to bat in each inning and outs are not tracked. Runs are also not tracked.

We determine the number of T-Ball teams each year based on the number of children signing up. We may also play some Interleague games with other leagues in the area.

As a parent, you will have the opportunity to meet many other families with children of similar ages. We have many parents who have made new friends through the baseball community.

Age Range:  5 – 6

If your child is six and has played baseball before, we may recommend them for the Farm division, the next level up. If your child is 4 years old, we are happy to discuss your situation to see if your child can play.  You can email us at info@ucall.org

Uniforms: The League will provide your child with a jersey and a team hat. Your child can keep the jersey and team hat at the end of the season. The rest of the uniform (pants, belts, socks, etc.) must be purchased separately.  Team managers will provide guidance on these items.
